phase 2
I just started phase 2 of Insanity on Monday, and boy is it insane! It was a great workout, but after doing it Monday and Tuesday, I'm still hurting today. I think I look better though...

Recovery Week-week 5
I'm halfway there, and I'm still loving the workout! I like how the videos come with a calendar telling me which videos to do on which day; I also like that Sunday is an off day. That has allowed me to make up my Wednesday since Wednesday I work 6:30 am to 7 pm.
My only struggle I've been having is not giving into my sweet tooth. This has been really tough. I eat healthy most of the time, but feel really guilty when I eat sugary treats. Last weekend was though; I wasn't around for the long weekend and found it difficult to complete a video when I wasn't home, so I missed 3 workouts. Since this week is 6 days of Cardio Balance, I'm hoping to make up my Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from last week this week.
I guess since it's half way I should have a picture update to see if there is any visible difference.

week 2
I've officially finished one week of Insanity, and I'm loving it! It's a GREAT workout and it goes by very quickly. Each day a different part of my body is sore so I know it's working. I swear I even look different already; but who knows, that might just be in my mind.
Sean T is a dynamic motivator who keeps me pushing myself. And I love the workout schedule calendar. It's very straight forward and keeps me on task. Now I just want to clean up my eating. Time to clear out the chocolate.

Day 1 and 2 of Insanity Workout
I've never created a blog, and I'm hoping that by creating a blog I will stay accountable while doing the 60 days of the Insanity Program by Beach body. I work at a gym, as a personal trainer, and wanted to see what all the hype was with Insanity. Last year I was in a wedding and one of the bridesmaids had gained weight and was determined to lose it, so she and her husband bought the Insanity Program; their results were amazing!
Right now I weigh 136.4, and have 23% body fat. My water weight is 104.6, my lean weight is 26.8, and my fat weight is 31.8. My resting heart rate is 68. I'm hoping that in the next 60 days these numbers will improve. I know it's during a crazy time of the year, but why not start now!?!?
Day 1: The Insanity Program consists of a fit test which lasts 30 minutes. I now understand why people say that they had a hard time finishing the fit test. It is INSANE. Though, I did get through it and was dripping sweat in my living room. My heart rate was in the top of its target range, and I burned over 300 calories. Waking up on Tuesday morning, I was sore! But I did feel accomplished.
Day 2: My back and legs were sore, but I was excited to really try the Insanity program. This video was 40 minutes and it was killer!!!! Even the people in Shaun T's video had to take breaks, which made me feel better about myself. I did have to modify some of the parts, but for the most part I was able to keep up. After the 40 minutes, I was toast and couldn't wait for bed.
Day 3: I woke up ridiculously sore! I could barely walk. Unfortunately, I'm a teacher and on Wednesday I work from 7 AM to 7 PM, both at school and gym. This leaves me not able to exercise when I get home. Thankfully though, one of my clients wanted to try Zumba, so I completed a Zumba class in place of Day 3 of Insanity. This was fun and burned 500 calories, but did not compare to my Insanity Workout.
Day 4: I feel GREAT and can't wait to go home and do day 3 from the Insanity Workout DVDs. Let's hope that the next few days with Christmas doesn't take me off track.
As for eating, I eat pretty healthy. I eat every 3 hours and my philosophy is if it's not natural it's not for me. Don't get me wrong, I do LOVE my sweets and wine. Hopefully, my eating won't kill the 60 days of Insanity; we shall see...
